Q. Do you know what it is?....
It's a literacy test used by the state of Alabama to determine if African Americans were "smart" enough to vote...
You probably realized that white people didn't have yo take this test. It was a form voter suppression used by several states to prevent blacks from voting.
Q. Can you think of any current measures that are being used in the United States to suppress certain groups from voting?
